Mark and Brenda Wright.jpg
Dr. Mark Wright,
Senior Pastor

Pastor Mark was born in Long Island, New York and was raised in Redondo Beach, California. While in his early twenties Mark was involved with a short-term Christian Missionary organization called Youth With A Mission. After a couple of years of service Mark returned home in 1988 and met a wonderful and extraordinary person named Brenda who amazingly agreed to marry him.

In 1992, Mark and Brenda and their two children (at that time) moved to Nampa, Idaho where Mark received a BA in Philosophy from Northwest Nazarene University. Afterward the family, now with three children, moved to Northern California where he served as Associate Pastor of Youth and Music at Vineyard Church of the Nazarene for 3 1/2 years. The family, now with four children, then returned to Southern California where Mark earned an MA in Theological Studies from the Claremont School of Theology and a PhD in Religion from Claremont Graduate University. The family then moved to San Diego where Mark taught Philosophy and Theology for over eleven years at Point Loma Nazarene University and served as Associate Pastor at Mid-City Church of the Nazarene. Sensing God's direction, the family then moved to Slidell, Louisiana in 2018 where Mark would become Senior Pastor of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship and also serve for two years as Director of the Miramon Center for Homeless Men.

Mark enjoys music (listening and playing), reading, writing, and playing with his Granddaughters. Together Mark, Brenda and Family look forward to serving the congregation of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship as we all follow Jesus Christ as Ministers of Reconciliation in service and love to our fellow humans; believing that all of us "were made for each other."

Your tithes and offerings support the ministries and functions of this local church, as well as the global ministries of the Church of the Nazarene.

Thank you for your support!

Dr. K. Joseph Authement, Associate Pastor

Pastor Joseph Authement was born in Bell City, Louisiana. Following graduation from Bell City High School, he went to Nicholls State University in Thibodeaux, Louisiana where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. In 2018, Pastor Joseph earned a Master of Arts degree from St. Joseph College in Standish, Maine. In 2020, after defending his dissertation on the development of the Gospels in accordance with first century Jewish worship, he received a Doctor of Theology degree in Biblical Studies from Colorado Theological Seminary.

Pastor Joseph was ordained as a Priest in the Reformed (Independent) Catholic Church on August 30, 2014. His ordination credentials were recognized by the Church of the Nazarene on May 14, 2022. After his ordination was recognized, Pastor Joseph served as the Associate Pastor of Rock Church of the Nazarene in Kenner, LA until his transfer to Lighthouse Christian Fellowship. In addition to his pastoral ministry, Pastor Joseph teaches middle school and serves as the Special Education department head at John Q. Adams Middle School in Metairie, LA.

Pastor Joseph’s philosophy of ministry is based on the words of St. Paul found in Colossians 3:23-24 “Whatever you do, work at it with all of your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving”. Since “Christ is all, and is in all (Colossians 3:11), Pastor Joseph seeks to recognize Christ’s presence in the people that he serves and in the circumstances he faces. In this way, whatever he does, he may “do it all for the glory of God (I Corinthians 10:31).
